Well, since we didn't have an online service this week, the Wednesday post can't actually be called "Wednesday After Worship" so I changed it slightly. "Wednesday Not After Worship" is this week's post name. I hope you chuckle about that title. It's not hilarious, but it might be chuckle-worthy. While we're on the subject of this week's post, I won't have a 4th TV video this week since I'm not following up on anything from Sunday. 4th TV will air again next week. Instead I have a short 3 minute video below regarding this past Sunday's text from Matthew 25:1-13.
I hope you had as good a week as I had last week. The weather was spectacular and I couldn't have enjoyed my family, porch, fire pit, and grill more. As a family we spent a lot of time outside enjoying the weather, good food and our dog Leia. She's a real cutie. It was a fantastic week of vacation and I feel refreshed and ready to go.
A few reminders before wrapping this up. One, please, if you haven't already, send in your pledge card so we can make plans for the coming year. Two, the holidays are coming and while we cannot meet in person for worship, I hope you'll continue to watch the videos. I'll try to keep them as close to our in-person worship experience as possible. Three, pray for our country. We're in a very strange, sad and dangerous place these days. Four, keep the faith. Keep being people of faith who cultivate good in the world. Five, keep praying for the family and friends on our prayer list. I'm sure there is more to convey, but that is it for now.
Have a blessed week.
Please remember the good folks of Fourth in your prayers. Here's a list of those we've been remembering:
Dennis and Joan Little - family situations and concerns
Bill & Ruthie Brent ask for prayers for Debbie, Jeff and Loretta
Jan Merrick asks for prayers for friends Karen and Jim. Jim is battling health issues
Michaelle and Larry Steier's son John - eye surgery
Margaret Lewis - Health issues. Prayers, too, for Alex.
Tom & Robin Woodruff - both recovering from surgery.
Leonard Yates who has been diagnosed with bone cancer and is receiving treatments.
Esther Sparks had a doctor's appointment regarding her arm this week and is recuperating nicely. Please keep praying for her recovery.
The "Non-4th TV" Video
Here's the short 3 minute video I mentioned above.
